Tibra Capital trades in equity derivatives (stocks and indices), cash equities, FX, fixed income and energy across major financial exchanges.

We have 6 offices covering London, Amsterdam, Sydney, Wollongong, Chicago and Hong Kong with plans for more. There are over 260 people working for Tibra at these locations covering IT, Traders, Capital Management and business support functions.

The process will consist of a resume review, followed by a multiple number of aptitude tests for Traders consisting of 30 to 60 minute tests to ensure that you have got the numerical and verbal reasoning skills to get the most out of your job. Programming skills tests for Developers, and final interviews. You will be interviewed by HR and a Director, Senior Trader or Senior Software Developer, depending on the role you are applying for.

We tend not to disclose too much information about our tests as they are designed for speed and accuracy and to replicate as closely as possible the pressurised environment that is trading.

Yes. Advanced mathematical ability and a capacity to operate under significant pressure are essential qualities for a trader which is what the test is designed to reveal.

Most graduate applicants will need a bachelors degree or equivalent (2:1 or above in the UK). For Trading roles, you can apply from a range of disciplines. Graduate Software Developers should have a degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Due to such large volumes of applicants, we are not able to reimburse for travel expenses at the preliminary testing stage of recruitment. We will however consider reimbursing candidates whom we make offers to for travel costs incurred during the interview stage(s).

There are three key parts to Tibra: Tibra Trading, Tibra Technology and Tibra Investment Management.
Tibra Technology is the software division of the company that builds our high speed automated trading technologies, producing some of the fastest and most sophisticated systems found on global exchanges.
Tibra Investment Management is Tibra Capital’s asset management business based in Australia, its focus is on developing innovative investment strategies for external investors. It holds an Australian Financial Services Licence as regulated by the Australian Securities and Investment Commission to provide general financial product advice and deals in financial products to wholesale clients in Australia.
Tibra Investment Management is not authorised, registered or licensed to provide investment advisory services to persons in the United States or the United Kingdom and accordingly, nothing on this website shall be construed as Tibra Investment Management advertising or providing any such investment advisory services to any persons in the United States the United Kingdom.
